Garage sales. My biggest obsession. I honestly can't get enough. But with that, I must add that I am in no way whatsoever a hoarder. I do not buy stuff just because.. I do not have a bunch of junk all over the place. I hit the garage sales for things I need. Really, what's better than rummaging through items someone else doesn't want and paying very little for it? The majority of everything I've needed for my daughter came from garage sales, (or consignment sales). If I have to pay more than 50cents for a piece of clothing, I don't buy it!
I think the reason I never enjoyed garage sales in the past is because I don't need junk. But now that I have a kidlet, there are a lot of things I need. And most garage sales are full of kids items. With every sale I go to, I can't wait for the next one. I'm getting very exciting for tomorrow's sales right now! There are 3 that I am definitely hitting!
This year, I have decided to document all of my garage sale finds. So far, I'm not doing very well. I've taken a picture of only one weekend collection.
These were the few good finds from the local church rummage sale. A summer romper, cute purple dress with little flower and pantaloons, KU onsie - all for my little niece, a cute shirt for Mads, a big world history atlas, and my favorite, a giant atlas! It is way bigger than she is. The books are great. We read about the world together. The history book tells of major events - when, where, why.... It's super! These things cost me $3.00.
Did I mention I love garage sales??? :)
I can't wait to find out what tomorrow has in store ...

And so it begins....
People have told me before that I should start a blog. It's not something I ever really thought about. I assumed it takes a lot of time and effort and, seriously, who would actually read it? Well, I no longer care if no one reads it. If I never post again, so be it. But for now, I think it is a good idea. I'm interesting (sometimes). I'm crafty. I'm creative. So I guess I'll just try and see what happens. It never hurts to try!
