Dress Shirt - shirt = Dress

I looked at a lot of different tutorials on repurposing shirts to little girl dresses. They all looked so stinking adorable that I had to give it a shot! I mixed ideas from a few different places and this is what I came up with. And of course, I had to make a sweet matching hair bow out of the scraps!



                      
 
  
This was a   woman's size medium button up shirt. I used a dress that fits her to trim it to size, keeping the original collar. I carefully cut of the sleeves and kept them as they were. I stitched up the sides and the bottom then sewed on the original sleeves to the new opening, ruffling at the top so they fit.
 And that's about it. Pretty simple. And when I say "I  sewed", I do mean my seamstress - my mother. 
I do the cutting  and she does the sewing. For now at least.
 I'm getting the hang of it and hopefully will be making sweet dresses on my own soon!
